Madama Butterfly

This opera by Puccini is one of the greatest symbols of imposible love, femenine eternity, and intercultural barriers.

The Italian composer created a masterful score (with perfect arias such as Un bel dí vedremo), which underlines the emotional labyrinth where the characters feel themselves trapped.

Giacomo Puccini premiered this work in 1904 with Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica’s libretto. As it was not very successful at first within the audience, Puccini revised it to publish it again months after. This second version became the great success that we know nowadays.
