Activities with local people
The best way to get to know Mallorca is to spend time with the people who make a living from it: a ceramicist in her workshop, a family that makes wine or olive oil, a cheesemaker on his farm or a cook who takes you to the market and then shows you how to cook what you bought together. Groups are small, often in Catalan or Spanish with plenty of patience for English, and you almost always need to book. Don't expect a show: it's their everyday life, and the joy is in asking questions. Here are workshops, farms and experiences where you're welcomed by people who live here.
