Park in Valldemossa

Valldemossa is a maze of pedestrian streets and its car parks fill up by around 11 am. To avoid wasting an hour driving in circles, arrive early and head straight for a car park. If you see a space on the road in from Palma before the village core, take it: you'll walk 5 minutes, but you'll avoid the bottleneck in the centre.

Watch out for residents' zones! Streets with white lines or «Només residents» signs are for locals only, and the tow truck in Valldemossa is fast and unforgiving.

Watch out for a recent change: since 2025 the 105-space car park on Avinguda de Palma has had barriers, and only residents with an ACIRE card can get in; a number-plate reader lifts the barrier. At the same time the town hall extended the paid blue zone, so almost all public parking in the centre is now short-stay and paid. Bring coins, as not every machine takes cards.

On Sunday mornings there's a market and the car parks fill up earlier than usual. If you'd rather not drive, TIB line 203 leaves Palma and stops in Valldemossa on its way to Deià and Sóller; in summer it's full by mid-morning, so catch one of the first buses. And if you plan to drive down to Port de Valldemossa, spaces there are even scarcer.

Frequently asked questions

Is there free parking in Valldemossa?

Very little. The Avinguda de Palma car park has been residents-only since 2025 and the paid blue zone has been extended in the centre. Your best bet is the blue zone early in the morning, or coming by bus.

How do you get from Palma to Valldemossa by bus?

TIB line 203 links Palma with Valldemossa and continues to Deià, Sóller and Port de Sóller. There are more departures in summer but buses get full; check timetables on tib.org and board in Palma, at the start of the line.
