Getting to the airport

The airport is about 15–20 minutes from the capital and an hour or more from the north or east, so leave plenty of time. The city bus to the centre runs every 15–20 minutes from early morning until around midnight and you pay by card at the reader; from the coast there are direct lines, but many only run in season and don't leave very early. For a dawn flight, the practical option is a taxi or a transfer booked the day before: there are no buses at that hour and villages may have no taxis waiting. If you're returning a rental car, add half an hour to refuel and for the shuttle.
