Where the buzz is tonight
To find some atmosphere as night falls, follow the locals: squares with packed terraces, tapas bars with crowded counters, vermouth bars that run on and venues with live music or a DJ before the clubs open. On weekdays things get going around 9 pm, a little later at weekends. In the villages, the buzz is on the square and at the summer festivals; in the city, in the central neighbourhoods and by the port. Check the day's gig listings: there's often something free.
