Mallorca's weekly markets
Almost every town has its weekly market, in the morning (roughly 8 am to 1:30 pm).
Each day of the week has its own. Monday: Manacor and Calvià. Tuesday: Artà, Alcúdia and Portocolom. Wednesday: Sineu, the oldest, Petra, Andratx, Capdepera, Llucmajor, Santanyí and Port de Pollença. Thursday: Inca, the biggest, and Campos. Friday: Son Servera and Llucmajor. Saturday: Sóller, on Plaça de la Constitució, Santanyí and Bunyola. Sunday: Pollença, Alcúdia, Felanitx, Santa Maria del Camí, Valldemossa, Muro and Porto Cristo.
To enjoy them, arrive before 10 am: it's cooler, you can park on the edge of town easily and the fruit, cheese and charcuterie stalls still have everything. Bring cash in small notes and a bag. The more touristy ones, such as Santanyí or Pollença, have more crafts and clothes; Sineu, Felanitx and Santa Maria are more about produce. For Santa Maria you can take the train from Palma and walk from the station to the market.
