Tapas and wine crawl
The best way to have dinner in the city is bar-hopping: a glass and a tapa or two in each place, walking through the old town. Start around 8 pm, when the wine bars open and there's still room, and try the island's wines, which you rarely see elsewhere: whites from prensal grapes and reds from manto negro and callet. Many wine bars don't take bookings and are small, so groups of two to four work best. Let them pick the wine for you: they usually get it right and tell you about the winery. If you'd rather be guided, there are organised tapas tours.
