Amazing photo spots
Mallorca's most photogenic spots are where the mountains drop into the sea: rock arches, cliffs with lighthouses, viewpoints over gorges and turquoise coves seen from above. Light is everything: the east coast at sunrise, the west at sunset, and at midday a patio or a church rather than the beach, because the sun flattens the colours. To have them almost to yourself, go on a weekday and early. Respect fenced viewpoints and don't climb onto rocks for a photo; and if you bring a drone, check the restricted zones first, as there are many.
