Torrent de Pareis on foot: full hike and short walk
Walking the Torrent de Pareis is the toughest and most dangerous hike on the island, not a stroll. You go down from the Escorca restaurant (km 25.2 of the Ma-10) to Sa Calobra through a canyon with walls up to 200 m high and scrambling sections: you need mountain boots and scrambling experience. Fast hikers take 3.5–4 h, but plan on 5–6 h.
Never go in if it has rained: the rock gets slippery and pools are left that make it almost impossible. Carry plenty of water, as there's hardly any signal to call 112, and there are rescues every year (in 2025 and 2026, for exhaustion, heat and lack of water).
If you just want to see part of it: from Sa Calobra beach, at the mouth, walk up the riverbed for about 45 minutes to the Font des Degotís and come back the same way. You still have to clamber over rocks, and after recent rain the rock is slippery and pools appear.
