One last swim in a cove
In the late afternoon the coves empty out, the water is still warm and the light turns golden: it's the best time of day for a swim. Look for a cove facing west or south-west if you want sun until the end, and bear in mind that in the more enclosed ones the shade comes early. Check the wind: with a northerly, the south coast is calmer, and vice versa. After 7 pm there are no lifeguards, so stay close to the shore. If you walk down, head back up before dark or bring a torch.
