Getting around
Parking in Port d'Andratx
In Port d'Andratx the easiest option is the big open-air car park at es Saluet, next to the harbour, a couple of minutes from the promenade. Around it there are smaller car parks and paid street parking on the avenue along the harbour.
Local tip: in summer, for dinner or the sunset by the harbour, arrive before 8 pm, because everything fills up by then. If you're going on to Sant Elm or Dragonera, keep the car: parking there is even harder and it's best to arrive early.
The big es Saluet car park is at the entrance to the village, on Carrer des Saluet, next to the small wetland of the same name: coming from Andratx, pull in there before heading for the harbour front, where circling for a space is a waste of time. In season, much of the street parking near the harbour is regulated and paid during the day, so check the signs and meters before you walk off.
If you're carrying on to Sant Elm, bear in mind that Sa Dragonera island has been closed since 15 October for works on the Cala Lledó jetty: before you go, check the park's website or ask at the Sant Elm boat whether trips have restarted. Without a car, TIB buses run from Palma to Port d'Andratx.
