Specialty coffee
Specialty coffee has arrived in force in Mallorca: light roasts, single-origin beans and baristas who'll make you a filter or a flat white like in any big city. If you're used to standard bar coffee, order an espresso or a cortado to taste the difference, or a V60 if you like it gentler. Most open early and close in the early afternoon, and at weekends they fill up mid-morning with the brunch crowd, so go early. Almost all have plant milk and something sweet from a proper bakery on the side.
