Park in Sóller

Don't drive into the centre of Sóller: since 27 February 2026 almost the whole town centre has been a camera-controlled low emission zone. Only residents, zero-emission cars and, with prior authorisation, guests of hotels in the centre may enter; a rental car that is not electric must stay out, and the fine is at least €200. If your accommodation is inside, ask them to arrange the authorisation before you arrive.

Head straight for one of the paid car parks around the centre, a few minutes' walk from the square. If you're after something free, try the Carretera de Desviament area, about 10 minutes on foot.

The option the town hall itself recommends is the park-and-ride car parks on the Carretera de Desviament, the bypass around the town: from there you walk down to the centre in about ten minutes. Another is the car park by the cemetery, 10 to 15 minutes downhill; the walk back up is harder work. Watch out for the car park next to the tram stop: its access street has cameras and only zero-emission or authorised vehicles may use it. And read the signs: in 2026 the town hall set aside about 700 spaces for residents only.

The simplest way to avoid all of it is to arrive without a car: the Sóller train from Palma, or TIB bus 204, which runs through the tunnel and carries on to the Port. If you drive to Port de Sóller, take the coast road in without crossing the town centre.
