Rafa Nadal in Manacor
Rafa Nadal is from Manacor and never left. At the Rafa Nadal Academy, at the entrance to the town, you'll find the Rafa Nadal Museum Xperience: a museum with his trophies and rackets, memorabilia from other sports legends and interactive simulators for tennis, padel, football or Formula 1. It's a good plan with kids or on a rainy day, and you can combine it with a coffee in Manacor's centre and, 20 minutes away, the Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo.
The museum is inside the Rafa Nadal Academy, on the Cales de Mallorca road on the edge of Manacor, and it reopened in May 2026 after a complete makeover. Allow at least an hour and a half with children: the simulators take up most of the time, and on rainy days there's a queue. Buy tickets in advance, especially in school holidays. There are also tickets combining the museum with a guided tour of the academy, where you can sometimes watch players training.
Without a car, the T3 train runs from Palma's Intermodal station to Manacor; from the station it's a short taxi ride to the academy. If you can, come on a Monday: it's market day in Manacor and the centre is buzzing. To round off the day, Porto Cristo and the Caves of Drach are 20 minutes away, or follow the same road to the coves of Cales de Mallorca.
