Alaró celebrates Sant Roc, its patron saint, with two big days. On 15 August at 19:00 comes the desfilada de carrosses, a parade of floats built by local groups that winds through the centre (2025 was the 49th edition, and in 2026 more than a thousand people took part), with prizes and a party in the square afterwards. On the 16th, Sant Roc's day, at 10:00 the cossiers dance in front of the town hall and carry on through a dozen streets; at 13:00 there are corregudes de joies (village races with prizes); at 19:30 the main mass with the goigs (hymns) and the Orfeó d'Alaró choir, followed by the procession with the cossiers. At midnight, the closing correfoc (fire run) with Alaró's devils and na Marranxa, along Carrer d'Enmig and Plaça de la Vila. Tip: for the correfoc, wear long-sleeved cotton clothes and a cap.
