Sant Sebastià Night in Palma

Sant Sebastià is Palma's patron saint, and his big night is the Revetla on 19 January, the eve of the local holiday. The old town turns into a street party: free concerts in several squares at once (Plaça Major, Cort, Plaça d'Espanya, Joan Carles I…), each with its own style, from rock and pop to traditional music, and bonfires and public grills everywhere to cook sobrassada, botifarró and other Mallorcan sausages. In 2025 more than 50,000 people came out and the city set up 400 public grills. The 20th, the patron's day, is a holiday in Palma, with a cycling day and civic events; in the weeks around it the Drac de na Coca dragon, giants and correfocs (fire runs) come out. Tip: buy your sausages at a grocer in the afternoon and grab a grill early; come by bus or on foot, the centre is closed to traffic.
