Three Kings Parade in Palma

Every 5 January, the eve of Epiphany, the Three Kings arrive in Palma by sea: around 18:00 they step off a vintage boat at the Moll Vell, the old quay, and the parade sets off from there. The floats (24 in 2026, plus two festive trains) go up Avinguda Antoni Maura and the Born, through La Rambla, the ring avenues and Jaume III and back to the centre; the whole route takes almost three hours and kilos of sweets are thrown to the crowd. It is a family night: kids wait with bags for the sweets, and many have already handed their letter to the royal pages at the town hall. Tip: to see the landing, get to the Moll Vell an hour early; with small children, pick a stretch of Jaume III or Passeig de Mallorca, where it is less crowded. Streets close from midday, so take the bus or park outside the centre.
