Sky Nudos

Upper terrace over the yachts on Moll Vell, from Cathedral to Bellver

View in the app · free, no sign-up

Above the renovated pavilions of the Moll Vell, the old quay facing the Cathedral, Sky Nudos has two levels: a covered terrace over the moorings and, above it, an open-air roof terrace with sofas and high tables, looking from the Cathedral to Bellver Castle over the masts. It belongs to the Anima group, and behind it is Marco di Loreto, who came to Mallorca in 1986, aged 25, to co-found what became Tristán in Puerto Portals, and who spent two years in Japan: hence the two-sided menu, Japanese and Italian. The Japanese part comes from the kitchen of Nudos Atelier, the group’s fine-dining restaurant on the ground floor: sushi, sea bass ceviche with leche de tigre and crispy plantain, tuna tartare with ponzu, Gillardeau oysters. The Italian side is sourdough pizza fermented for up to 48 hours and baked in a stone oven, from a margherita to one topped with almadraba bluefin tuna tartare and black truffle. Cocktails are signature drinks at view-terrace prices, with the odd Mallorcan product, such as the Canonita in the house spritz. It’s more a sunset-and-a-drink place than somewhere for a long dinner: when it fills up, service suffers, and the toilets are downstairs at quay level. People who come up for the view and a cocktail leave happy; those expecting refined Japanese often leave unconvinced.
