Getting around
From the airport to the center of Palma
Palma airport (PMI) is only 8 km from the city centre. There are three easy ways to get out of there (and the same ones to get back):
- EMT bus A1: runs to central Palma (Plaça d'Espanya, Passeig Marítim and the port) every 15-20 minutes. It costs about €5 and you pay by tapping your bank card or phone on the reader.
- Aerotib buses (TIB): direct to the coast. A11 to Portals, Palmanova and Magaluf; A32 to Inca, Alcúdia, Platja de Muro and Can Picafort; A42 to Manacor, Porto Cristo and Cala Millor; A51 to S'Arenal, Llucmajor and Campos. Some lines only run in season.
- Taxi: the rank is right outside Arrivals; a ride to central Palma is usually around €30-35.
If you land in the middle of the night or travel with kids and lots of luggage, a taxi or a pre-booked transfer saves you the wait.
