Getting around
Parking at Palma airport
Palma airport (PMI) has Aena's car parks: the parking building in front of the terminal, the most convenient, and the long-stay car park, a little further away and cheaper if you leave the car for several days. Booking in advance on the Aena website is usually cheaper than paying on arrival.
To pick up or drop off someone, use P Express next to the terminal: the first 15 minutes are free. Don't wait on the access road: it's monitored and you can be fined.
At Son Sant Joan, Aena runs the Parking General in the building opposite the terminal, the Long Stay car park a few minutes away, and the Express car parks for picking up or dropping off. Long Stay is reached by a free shuttle bus, for its customers only, from the shelter at Parking Express Arrivals every 15 minutes from 06:00 to 01:00 and every 20 minutes overnight. At Express Arrivals, be careful: if you stay beyond minute 15 you pay for the whole stay from the moment you entered, and the maximum stay is 2 hours.
If the flight is late, wait in the Parking General and ask the person arriving to message you once they have their luggage. And if you will not use the car during your trip, you may not need to park at all: EMT bus A1 links the airport with central Palma, and TIB's Aerotib lines (A11, A32, A42 and A51) run direct to other parts of the island.
