Breakfast like a local in Palma
To have breakfast like the people of Palma, two classics in the centre:
- Bar Bosch, on Plaça de Joan Carles I (the one locals call «of the Turtles»): open since 1936 and run by the Flexas family since the 1970s. Order a «llagosta»: despite the name it isn't lobster, it's a toasted llonguet (Palma's bread roll) rubbed with tomato and filled. The classic is ham and cheese.
- Ca'n Joan de s'Aigo, open since 1700, on Carrer de Can Sanç: for something sweet. Order an ensaïmada with hot chocolate.
Between the two you've had breakfast like a true Palma local: savoury at Bosch's bar, sweet at Can Joan.
