Manacor and its coves
Manacor is a town of crafts, and its coast, the Llevant, is white-sand coves among pine trees.
In town:
- Calabruix: a leather workshop founded in 1887, in the old quarter.
- Can March: a family eating house since 1925.
- Ca Ses Cusses: café and delicatessen for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
- Sala La Fornal: an independent theatre with 50 seats.
- S'Escat: a jazz club run by local musicians.
Coves:
- Cala Petita, next to Porto Cristo, and Cala Varques, which you can only reach on foot.
- Cala Magraner and Cala Bota, unspoilt and hidden.
- Cala Anguila and Cala Mendia, sheltered; at the second one you park almost on the beach.
- Cala Murada, family-friendly with calm water.
Tip: Monday is market day in Manacor. In summer, go to the coves early: the car parks are small.
