A great breakfast
A real Mallorcan breakfast is had at the bar: a milky coffee and a freshly baked ensaimada, a llonguet roll with sobrasada or, if you're hungry, a pa amb oli with ham or cheese. Historic bakeries and cafés open early and are best before 10 am, before the queues; market bars serve variat mid-morning to the people who work there. If you'd rather keep it light, there are cafés with sourdough toast and island orange juice. Here's a selection across the island: check today's hours and which one is closest to you.
