Church of Santa Eulàlia
Palma’s Gothic church where Mallorca’s first kings were crowned.
View in the app · free, no sign-upOne of Palma’s oldest parish churches, not to be confused with the Cathedral. Jaume I had a chapel built here in 1236, soon after the conquest, and it grew until 1414 into the three-nave Gothic church you see today. Tradition has it that Jaume II swore his oath here when crowned king of Mallorca. The façade and bell tower are neo-Gothic, from 1894 to 1903, after the 1851 earthquake. Since 2024 you can climb onto the rooftops, with views over the old town.
