Bar Tony
The ultimate "llonguet": authentic breakfasts and traditional flavor in Palma.
View in the app · free, no sign-upBehind the City Hall, on Plaça de Santa Eulàlia, this bar dating from 1954 does one thing and does it very well: llonguets, the Mallorcan bread roll, filled to order. The room is small, old and makes no concessions to décor, with a handful of tables and the counter taken by people who work in the centre, and behind it a couple who run the service quickly without losing track of anyone. The fillings are the classics: sobrassada with cheese is the most ordered, followed by camaiot with cheese, botifarró (Mallorcan blood sausage), serrano ham with cheese and warm Mahón cheese. With a strong black coffee or a café con leche, breakfast costs very little for where it is, and mid-morning some prefer a beer, served here in a frosted glass. It's a morning bar running on office hours, with no brunch or anything like it, and that's exactly why it always comes up when people talk about the best llonguets in Palma.
