Guided Torrent de Pareis Hike: the Tramuntana's Great Gorge
Mallorca's most famous hike: the Torrent de Pareis, a gorge between rock walls more than 200 metres high that comes out on the beach at Sa Calobra. With a guide, in groups of ten people at most, it takes around five hours with scrambling over rocks and, depending on the time of year, some stretches of swimming. It scores 4.8 on GetYourGuide, and people praise the guides and describe it as a hard but rewarding day. The downsides: it's difficult and not for children, beginners or anyone with vertigo, the heat is intense in summer and it doesn't run after heavy rain.
