Artestruz

A family-run ostrich farm on the road from Campos to Colònia de Sant Jordi, in the south, open since 1998. Kids feed adult ostriches, the youngsters and sometimes the chicks, always with a member of the farm alongside explaining how, and pick up surprising facts about the world's biggest bird. It works for ages 3-4 up to pre-teens, with a play area, a café serving ice cream and a shaded picnic area; at the café you can try a fried ostrich egg. It has a 4.8 on TripAdvisor from over 500 reviews. The downsides: entry isn't cheap (€19.50 adults, €10 for ages 3 to 11), there's little shade in the pens, and the ostriches give soft pecks that can startle little ones.
