Chiringuito Cala Sa Nau
Feet in the sand, fish and poke bowls by the turquoise water of Cala Sa Nau.
View in the app · free, no sign-upCala Sa Nau is a narrow inlet among pines south of Portocolom, and its beach bar sits right on the sand, with tables in the shade of the trees and the bar at the back. It's run by Grupo Marport, from nearby S'Horta, which has other beach bars along this coast, and it's open from breakfast to dinner. What lifts it above the average beach bar is the fish: grilled sea bream and turbot, lobster, clams, queen scallops and prawns, produce the regulars rate highly. For a beach day there are simpler things that work well, like the salmon poke bowl, the burger with fries that aren't frozen or grilled squid, and for the afternoon, sangria and cocktails; some days there's live music. Down on the sand they rent big bamboo sunloungers with bar service. Worth knowing: it's a small cove and in August it's at capacity, tables run in sittings and tap water in a jug is charged. It's a beach spot with beach-spot prices, and the people who enjoy it most are those who come to spend the day.
