Lunch on the beach: chiringuitos
To eat with your towel next to you, no dress code and no beach club:
North, on the Bay of Alcúdia:
- Can Gavella (Playa de Muro): the original chiringuito, on the sand since 1976.
- Ponderosa Beach (Playa de Muro): rice dishes and paellas with your feet in the sand.
- Moomba Beach Café (Son Serra de Marina): a wooden beach café, away from the busiest resorts.
East:
- Chiringuito Cala Sa Nau: right on the sand of the cove, among pines.
- S'Arenal Portocolom: fish and rice facing the bay and the lighthouse.
- Coco Beach Bar (Cala Romàntica): casual, a few steps from the sand.
Tramuntana and south:
- Patiki: on the sand in Port de Sóller.
- Refugi de s'Àguila: simple, by the Cap Blanc cliffs.
- Chiringuito Cala Vinyes (Calvià): small, at the back of the beach.
In August, book or arrive early: they fill up at lunchtime.
