Five km of sand, shallow water and pine-backed dunes at Es Comú

About five kilometres of fine, pale sand in the middle of Alcúdia Bay, between Port d'Alcúdia and Can Picafort, with a Blue Flag in 2026. The water stays shallow for a long way out, which makes it one of the easiest beaches on the island with small children. The northern half has hotels, sunbeds and lifeguards; further south, at Es Comú, the buildings stop: dunes with pines, wooden boardwalks and a few obelisk-shaped stone towers the Spanish Navy used as navigation marks. Behind it all lies the s'Albufera wetland.
