S'Albufera Natural Park

The great wetland of northern Mallorca, between Alcúdia and Can Picafort, and one of the best-known birdwatching reserves in the Mediterranean. Small hides are dotted around the park for watching birds, and with luck you'll see flamingos up close. Even when the birds stay hidden, birdsong accompanies the whole walk. You can explore on foot or by bike, and entry is free. The most common complaints are the summer heat and the mosquitoes.
