Restaurant Norai
Fresh fish beside the harbour.
View in the app · free, no sign-upNorai means “bollard”, the post boats are tied to, and the restaurant sits right there: on Passeig de la Duana, in the middle of Portopetro harbour, with the sea in front. Behind it, as the house itself tells it, there’s a family story. The speciality is fresh fish from the surrounding waters, without much fuss: grilled John Dory and line-caught squid, hake in marinera sauce with king prawns and artichokes, and French oysters from Daniel Sorlut. For those who don’t want fish, there’s good meat: 40-day aged beef chop, slow-roasted milk-fed lamb shoulder, sirloin with patató (Mallorcan-style potatoes), asparagus and mushrooms, and an Iberian pork pluma rice with mushrooms for two. It’s a produce-and-harbour kind of place, made for a long lunch or dinner looking at the water rather than for tapas. A few steps away, the same people run Amura, their more casual spot with brunch, creative tapas and live music.
