ANOA Santanyí
Mediterranean dinners and daily specials.
View in the app · free, no sign-upOn Carrer de s'Aljub in Santanyí, ANOA fills a village house with three spaces: an intimate inner courtyard, the one couples ask for; a large terrace; and an indoor dining room for cooler nights. It’s run by a team from half of Europe (Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, England, Bulgaria), and their website says it plainly: there’s a bit of every nationality on the plate. It only opens in the evening. There’s a short fixed menu plus a board of daily dishes that the waiter talks you through, and that’s where much of the interest lies. The dishes people mention most are the beef carpaccio with parmesan, tuna tartare, the fish and seafood soup, prawn fideos or tagliatelle and, among the house classics, calf’s liver with apple and mash. There are good vegetarian and vegan options, hummus and beetroot dips to start, and homemade puddings such as tiramisu or the pistachio dessert. Some nights there’s live music. The owners work the floor, and they go out of their way with children (crayons, something sweet at the end). If you’re after Mallorcan cooking, look elsewhere: this is international cooking done well.
