Església Nova (New Church)
A roofless church in Son Servera, with concerts under the stars.
View in the app · free, no sign-upThe church Son Servera never managed to roof. It was designed by Joan Rubió i Bellver, a pupil and collaborator of Gaudí, and work began in 1905; in 1929 it stopped for lack of money and never restarted. The walls, pointed arches and rose windows were finished, but not the vaults or roof, so the sky is the ceiling. Today it’s a protected cultural venue used for concerts and weddings. It’s in the village centre, on Carrer de ses Creus.
