L´AURORA
Stylish Mallorcan cooking in the village of S'Alqueria Blanca.
View in the app · free, no sign-upIt opened in 2024 on the road running through S'Alqueria Blanca, the small village between Santanyí and Cala d'Or, in a tastefully restored Mallorcan house: an indoor dining room with a fireplace, a terrace and, above all, a garden with tables under leafy carob trees, cool at lunchtime and calm in the evening. A few roosters wander round the garden, a detail nobody misses. It calls itself Mediterranean, but the menu is Italian at heart and what works best are the pizzas, the pasta and a focaccia with aioli that almost every table orders to start. There’s also meat and fish, pricier and with more mixed results, and several vegetarian options across starters, mains and puddings. It has its own car park at the entrance, unusual round here, which fills up on summer evenings. Service is young and attentive. It suits anyone staying on the Cala d'Or coast who wants an easy dinner in a village; if you’re after Mallorcan cooking or a fair bill for a meat main, know this beforehand: drinks and mains are expensive for what they are.
