Fine Dining in Mallorca

Mallorca has established itself as a benchmark for haute cuisine in the Mediterranean. With over a dozen Michelin Stars, the island offers gastronomic experiences that elevate local products (Sóller prawns, black pork, Tramuntana olive oil) to artistic levels.

In the 2026 Michelin Guide, the island's only two-star restaurant is Voro, in Canyamel. One-star addresses include Marc Fosh, Zaranda and DINS Santi Taura in Palma, and, outside the city, Maca de Castro in Port d'Alcúdia and Bens d'Avall on the Sóller coast. Terrae, in Port de Pollença, picked up a green star in 2026 for how it works with local farms. Good cooking doesn't stop at stars, though: Arrels by Marga Coll, in Illetes, cooks Mallorcan recipes with produce from its own garden; Ritma, in Fornalutx, plays with local ingredients in a mountain village; and El Camino, in Palma, is best enjoyed from the counter.

Where people go wrong is planning. In summer, book weeks ahead and allow two to three hours for a tasting menu. Many coastal restaurants close in winter: Beni Axir, in Artà, shuts from mid-December to mid-March. If you're eating outside Palma, think about how you'll get back before you order the wine pairing.

Frequently asked questions

How many Michelin-starred restaurants are there in Mallorca in 2026?

In the 2026 Michelin Guide, Mallorca has ten starred restaurants: Voro in Canyamel with two stars, and nine with one, including Marc Fosh, Zaranda and DINS Santi Taura in Palma and Maca de Castro in Port d'Alcúdia. There are also several green stars, such as Terrae in Port de Pollença.

Do you need to book fine dining restaurants in Mallorca?

Yes. They have few tables and in season they fill up weeks ahead. Book on their website as soon as you know your dates and check their weekly closing day: many close one or two days a week, and some for much of the winter.

Are Mallorca's Michelin restaurants open in winter?

It depends. Those in Palma tend to open most of the year, but many on the coast close between November and March, like the hotels they belong to. Check the calendar before planning a winter dinner: Beni Axir, in Artà, closes from mid-December to mid-March.
