Mallorca month by month

Mallorca in April

Easter processions, fields of flowers and empty coves: April is real spring, although the sea is still cold.

In April, Palma has an average high of 20 °C and an average low of 12 °C, the sea is around 17 °C and it rains on about 8 days (averages 2016–2025).

April is real spring: wild flowers along the roads, days over 20 °C and almost everything open again. It is a great month for walking, cycling or birdwatching at S'Albufera, in the middle of the migration. The coves are empty and beautiful, although the water is still cold for a long swim.

If Easter falls in April, the processions are worth seeing: the Sant Crist de la Sang in Palma on Maundy Thursday and the Davallament in Pollença, where the figure of Christ is carried down the Calvari steps, on Good Friday. On 23 April, Sant Jordi, Palma fills its streets with book and rose stalls. Easter is busy: book your car and tables early.
