Mallorca month by month
Mallorca in July
Sea at 27 °C, village fiestas every night and plenty of heat: July is best enjoyed early and after sunset.
In July, Palma has an average high of 32 °C and an average low of 22 °C, the sea is around 27 °C and it rains on about 3 days (averages 2016–2025).
July is high summer: highs over 30 °C, the sea around 27 °C and a full island. The trick is the local timetable: swim first thing, when the coves are empty and the water is still; a long lunch in the shade during the hottest hours; and back to the beach or a terrace when the sun goes down. At the most famous coves (Caló des Moro, Sa Calobra) parking is hard from mid-morning.
July nights are for village fiestas: open-air dances, concerts and dinners in the street. On 16 July, the Mare de Déu del Carme takes the boats out in procession in fishing ports such as Port d'Andratx and Porto Cristo; on the 25th, Sant Jaume in Alcúdia and the cossiers of Algaida; and at the end of the month, the Beata in Valldemossa. Book a table for dinner, especially at weekends.
