Mallorca month by month

Mallorca in October

Swims at 24 °C, hiking season again and village fairs: October is the quiet summer.

In October, Palma has an average high of 24 °C and an average low of 17 °C, the sea is around 24 °C and it rains on about 9 days (averages 2016–2025).

October is a quiet summer: the sea is still around 24 °C, highs are around 24 °C and the coves get their calm back. Hiking in the Tramuntana, too hot in summer, is back, and the towns hold their autumn fairs on Sundays, with livestock, local produce and crafts, such as Santanyí's.

It is the month when the season starts to close: in late October and early November many beach clubs, beach bars and coastal hotels shut (those in this guide are listed below). The Formentor road opens to cars again in the middle of the month. Storms are possible, and the clocks go back on the last Sunday: sunsets move to before six.
