Cala Aixada
A quiet rocky hideaway on the coast of Sol de Mallorca.
View in the app · free, no sign-upCala Aixada (Cala Xada on Google Maps) is a small rocky inlet on the coast of the Sol de Mallorca estate in Calvià, well away from the buzz of the area's sandy beaches. There is no sand and there are no facilities: you swim off the rocks and sunbathe on them, so bring something to lie on. You get down from the estate streets by a flight of low, easy steps. When the sea is calm the water is very clear and the rocky bottom is worth a spell of snorkelling; when it is rough, stay out, as getting in and out means climbing over stone. It is a cove for a quiet swim if you live or stay nearby, with no beach bar or sunbeds; not the best choice for families with small children after sand, or for a full day without bringing your own supplies.
