Casal Solleric
Contemporary culture in a Baroque palace: Palma’s most iconic courtyard.
View in the app · free, no sign-upA baroque palace on the Born built between 1763 and 1775 for the Morell family, one of Palma’s wealthiest, whose heir later became Marquis of Solleric, hence the name. The design is attributed to Gaspar Palmer and the ironwork of the grand imperial staircase to the Italian Antonio Soldati. The city bought it in 1975 and since 1985 it has been a contemporary art centre: no permanent collection, just temporary shows of photography, installation, design or comics spread over three floors and the old cistern.
