Capdepera Castle

The walled enclosure crowning Capdepera, more a fortified refuge than a castle. The views are what people value most: from the walls you see the town, the sea and, on clear days, Menorca. Inside there's a small exhibition about weaving and the castle's history. Entry is cheap, around €3, and children go free. The climb up is steep and cobbled, hard if you have mobility problems. Some have found it almost empty in mid-August.
