Ca n'Alluny, "the house of the one far away", is the house on the outskirts of Deià that Robert Graves, author of I, Claudius, completed in 1932 and lived in for most of his life, except from 1936 to 1946 due to the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War. It's Deià's must-see. Beautifully kept, it has its original furniture and pictures, letters and papers on the desks, books on the shelves and the press used to print his and his friends' works. There's a 14-minute documentary on his life, and olive trees and mountain views all around.
