The Terrace at Palacio Can Marqués
The rooftop of an 18th-century palace in La Llotja, facing the Cathedral.
View in the app · free, no sign-upPalacio Can Marqués is an 18th-century Mallorcan mansion on Carrer dels Apuntadors, the narrow street of bars and restaurants running down towards La Llotja, and today it’s a luxury hotel of just thirteen suites run by the Puro group. Inside, the original architecture survives — the courtyard is the first thing that strikes you — mixed with contemporary design and artworks in every corner. Without staying, what you can try is the food and drink: The Merchants, a steakhouse with a Mediterranean twist, serving selected cuts and seafood, with tables in the palace’s hidden garden, and the roof terrace above the old-town rooftops. It’s expensive and quiet, and that’s exactly the point: a few metres from the bustle of Apuntadors, a palace setting for a special dinner or an unhurried drink, not for a quick bite on the way past.
