Eating well in Deià
Deià is small and pricey, but you eat very well if you know where to go (and book):
In the village:
- S'Hortet: a calm breakfast or lunch on a terrace among lemon trees, in the lower part.
- Sa Font Fresca: careful Mallorcan cooking with a terrace looking over the village.
- Bistro Rullan: a short seasonal menu and a garden with views at the back. Open Tuesday to Saturday.
Down at Cala Deià:
- Ca's Patró March: catch of the day on the rocks since 1960. In season, book weeks ahead.
- Ca'n Lluc: a family beach shack a metre from the water; book on WhatsApp and arrive before 12.
An hour's walk down: Chiringuito Sa Foradada, for its wood-fired paella by the sea (book it before you set off).
For a drink at night, Sa Fonda, the village's long-standing bar.
