For years this was Deià's cheap option, the place for a set lunch of gazpacho and grilled fish. In July 2024 it changed hands, the premises were refurbished and the cooking went up a level, though prices are still below the village norm. What hasn't changed is the view: from the dining room and the two terraces, on the road through the village, you see Deià stacked up against the mountain. The menu mixes Mallorcan cooking with nods to Italian and Arab food. The dishes that define it are the lamb cannelloni, homemade and the most-mentioned plate; lechona, Mallorcan suckling pig; pa amb oli with sobrassada; and a pumpkin risotto with sobrassada and prawns that brings sea and pig together. There are also homemade croquettes, a carbonara done the Italian way, without cream, and focaccia with Iberian ham. Desserts are taken seriously: pistachio tiramisu, lemon pie and carrot cake. At lunchtime there's still a set menu, the best way to eat well in Deià without paying Deià prices.
