Sa Fonda
Deià’s bar since 1988: a terrace under the vines and live music.
View in the app · free, no sign-upIn the centre of Deià, on the main street, Sa Fonda is the bar where villagers and visitors passing through all end up. Its big terrace, shaded by a huge ficus tree with the mountain in front, is why people come in; inside there's a fireplace for winter. You can start the day with a coffee and end it with a cocktail: it's one of the few places in the village still open after the kitchens close, and some nights there are gigs or DJs, sometimes with a cover charge. The menu is short and bar-style: brioche burgers (the most ordered), prawn tacos, fajitas, chicken fingers, battered squid with lime aioli and, above all, roast sweet potatoes with parmesan and lime, which end up on almost every table. To drink, cold beer, wine, mixed drinks and the Mallorcan cola instead of the usual one. These days it's self-service: you order and collect at the bar. It's for a beer in the sun or a night with music, not a careful meal; for proper cooking, Deià has other tables.
