Pollença: Wine Tasting on Sven's Rooftop Terrace

A small, very personal wine tasting in Pollença's old town, on the rooftop terrace of Sven's house, looking out at the Calvari church. You taste five wines (Mallorcan or, if you ask, from elsewhere in Europe too) with island cheeses, cured sausage and other local products, and Sven shows you how to look, smell and taste so you know what you like and choose your next bottle better. Groups are two or three couples, so it ends up as an evening of conversation more than a class; people say he knows a great deal without lecturing and tells you what living in Mallorca is like. Children are welcome (with soft drinks). A perfect sunset plan if you are staying in the north, and go by taxi or on foot: it is five wines.
