Esporles: Wood-Fired Paella at Chef Aina Aulí's Finca

A rice class for people who really want to learn, at Mallorcan chef Aina Aulí's private finca in Esporles, twenty minutes from Palma. It is more masterclass than tourist activity: the grain, the sofrito and above all the fire, because the seafood paella is cooked over wood, the old way. You start with an aperitif of Mallorcan savoury pastries, allioli, brown bread and olives; then you cook together and eat on the terrace with island wine, finishing with her 'Mos Mallorquí' cheesecake (dark chocolate, olive oil and sea salt). No more than 12 guests, and lunch turns into a conversation with her about Mallorcan cooking. It is new on GetYourGuide and has no vegetarian option. Pricier than other paella classes, but in a different league.
