Finca Treurer: Olive Oil Tasting and Five-Course Dinner

The evening version of Treurer, the olive estate between Algaida and Llucmajor that makes its own extra virgin olive oil. It starts with a tasting of about 40 minutes, already seated at your table on the large terrace overlooking the olive grove, where you learn what extra virgin is and how to tell it from other oils; then comes a five-course tasting menu of seasonal Mallorcan cooking built around their oil. What people praise most is the atmosphere at sunset, the terrace and the warmth of the family and team; they adapt the menu for vegetarians if you let them know, and there is no pressure to buy (they sell travel-size bottles you can take in hand luggage). One review says the tasting is more talk than walk. They ask you to dress up a little.
